Afghanistan to Pakistan (The Real Frontiers)

DAY 01: ARRIVE KABUL
On arrival transfer to hotel and check in, if the time allows we will go for half day sightseeing tour of Kabul, the city which has observed war for more than 24 years.

DAY 02: KABUL
At 08.00 we will start our city tour of Kabul by visiting Bala Hisar fort,Tapee Nadir Khan (King's graveyard), Darul Amman (old palace). In the afternoon we will take half day excursion to Paghman valley (2200m)which is 20 kms from Kabul.

DAY 03: KABUL - MAZARE SHARIF
Today we will have a long but exciting day. At 0800 we will depart for Mazare Sharif via Salang Pass (3363m). The Russians and all othercentral Asian invaders used to invade Kabul & Subcontinent through this historical pass. On the way we will witness crippled tanks, burnt out trucks and twisted artillery pieces littered the road side. On arrival transfer to hotel and overnight.

DAY 04: MAZARE SHARIF
After breakfast we will visit the tomb of Hazrat Ali Rehmat Ullah. Afterwards, we will go for half day excursion to Balkh ( Balkh has been the capital seat for Afghan rulers). Over there we will also see the tomb of Rabia Balkhi (an Afghan women poet). Afternoon free at leisure or explore local bazaars.

DAY 05: MAZARE SHARIF - KABUL
We will drive back on the same route to Kabul. En route we will again view the spectacular landscapes, traditional villages and fruit market at Qara Bagh. On arrival transfer to hotel and overnight.

DAY 06: KABUL - PESHAWAR
This will be another exciting day. In the morning we will depart for Peshawar via Jalalabad city. At Torkham we will switch over to Pakistani bus waiting there for us and then driving through the historical Khyber Pass we will reach Peshawar. On arrival transfer to hotel and overnight.

DAY 07: PESHAWAR - SWAT
After breakfast we will visit a truck manufacturing workshop, the old part of Peshawar city and Museum. After lunch we will depart for Swat valley, en route we will visit Takht-Bhai (the largest Buddhist monastery of Pakistan). On arrival transfer to hotel and overnight.

DAY 08: SWAT - CHITRAL
We will depart for Chitral via Lowari Pass (3000m). This day we will observe entirely different landscapes and could see Tirich Mir (7708m) before arrival. On arrival transfer to hotel and overnight.

DAY 09: CHITRAL
This day we will take Jeeps (4 wheel drive) to explore The Kalash (the descendants of Alexander the great) who lives in Kalash valley (Bomburet, Rambur & Birir). Later on we will also visit local bazaar.

DAY 10: CHITRAL - PHANDUR
This will be another Jeep tour but thrilling one with some adventurous touch. We will drive through Shandur Pass (4000m). On arrival transfer to hotel and overnight.

DAY 11: PHANDUR - KARIMABAD
We will again board on Jeeps which will take us up to Gilgit and from there we will switch over to airconditioned bus for onward journey. On arrival transfer to hotel and overnight.

DAY 12: KARIMABAD
We will start our day with the visit of Baltit fort and from there we will proceed to Nagar valley to see Hoper glacier. This will be a 4 wheel Jeep excursion. Afternoon free on your own.

DAY 13: KARIMABAD - GULMIT
In the morning we will depart for Gulmit. On arrival transfer to hotel and check in. Later on we will take full day excursion for Khunjerab Pass (5000m). Picnic lunch will be arranged at pass.

DAY 14: GULMIT - GILGIT
Morning departure for Gilgit, en route we will stop at Rakaposhi (7788m) view point for refreshments. On arrival transfer to hotel. After checking in we will visit Kargah Buddha, old suspension bridge and local Bazaar.

DAY 15: GILGIT - BESHAM
Today we will again drive alongside Indus river for Besham. Our lunch break will be at Dassu. This day we will have another opportunity to see the Nanga Parbat (8126m). On arrival transfer to hotel and overnight.

DAY 16: BESHAM - ISLAMABAD
Morning departure for Islamabad, en route we will visit Taxila museum and sites (Dharmarajika & Sirkap). On arrival transfer to hotel and check in. Dinner will be suggested at Damne-Koh restaurant.

DAY 17: ISLAMABAD
First half we will take sightseeing tour of Islamabad by visiting Faisal Mosque, Lok Virsa museum and Shakarparian hills. Later on flight back to your destination and end of our services.

Price Excludes:

  • International flights, airport tax for international flights, lunch, telephone calls, laundry or any other expenses of personal nature.

Terms & Conditions:

  • Advance 10% payment to be made on tour confirmation.
  • Advance 100% payment to be made minimum 15 days before tour start.
  • Hotels may be changed, however any change will be on equivalent basis.
  • Due to any forced majeur situation the tour may be diverted.
  • Illa-Mashaallah Travels will be not liable for any damage caused by forced majeur situations.

Cancellation & Refund Policy:

  • No cancellation charges if tour is cancelled 15 days before the tour start.
  • There will be 10% cancellation charges if tour is cancelled within 15 days of tour starting date.
  • Company will give 100% refund if tour is cancelled on such a justified reason which is acceptable to the company.
